Google Cloud's Push to Empower AI Startups in India

Google Cloud has made a strong commitment to support artificial intelligence (AI) businesses in India, focusing on innovation and growth. At its "AI Startups Summit" held on Thursday, the tech giant unveiled a series of initiatives and collaborations designed to boost the country's burgeoning AI startup ecosystem.

These initiatives are geared towards helping early-stage AI entrepreneurs develop, scale, and acquire clients for their Google Cloud-powered solutions. Dr. Manish Gupta, Senior Director of Research at Google DeepMind, expressed, "Google is committed to providing AI entrepreneurs with the necessary tools to drive innovation and growth. These programs demonstrate our dedication to equipping early-stage entrepreneurs with the resources they need to build and expand successful AI-driven companies."

Key Initiatives Launched

One of the standout announcements was the introduction of the "Emerging ISV Partner Springboard," a 12-week program designed to accelerate the growth of AI businesses. Additionally, the Google for Startups Cloud Program now offers up to $200,000 in Google Cloud credits over two years to early-stage startups, providing them with the time and resources needed to nurture their ideas. Recognising the high computing demands of advanced AI, Google Cloud also announced it would extend $350,000 in credits to AI-first companies.

Another major initiative is the launch of Startup School: GenAI, a comprehensive four-week immersive training program aimed at empowering entrepreneurs to make the most of AI technologies.

Partnerships for Healthcare Innovation

In a move to transform the healthcare sector, Google Cloud has formed a partnership with DeliverHealth, a leader in clinical documentation. Bikram Singh Bedi, Vice President and Country MD of Google Cloud India, shared, "Together, we aim to reshape the future of clinical documentation, enabling healthcare professionals to focus more on patient care."

Google's Continued Focus on AI

At the "Global Google Cloud Summit" last month, Thomas Kurian, the CEO of Google Cloud, commended the creativity and resilience of entrepreneurs who are using cloud computing and AI to drive transformative growth. Google Cloud’s initiatives reinforce its commitment to advancing India’s AI landscape and fostering a robust startup ecosystem.
